
Knutson Becomes First Top-10 Player in Program History

TEMPE, Ariz. – Syracuse junior Gabriela Knutson became the first player in Syracuse program history to crack the top-10 in the Oracle/ITA Division I Singles Rankings, checking in at No. 8 in this week's poll. Knutson has earned a top-20 spot in every poll this season.
The Czech Republic native downed two ranked-opponents No. 20 Marie Leduc and No. 36 Emma Davis to move to 11-1 on the season. Knutson's only loss came to No. 6 Aliona Bolsova of Florida Atlantic, while the junior has defeated six ranked-opponents this season.
As a team, Syracuse climbed seven spots to No. 32 in the Division I Team Rankings, marking the third consecutive week that the Orange have appeared in the top-40 in the national rankings. 'Cuse is now 2-2 against ranked-teams after defeating No. 44 Clemson on Friday.
In doubles action, the duo of Knutson and Miranda Ramirez sit in 37th in the National Doubles Rankings after facing a pair of ranked-duos this past weekend.
Syracuse returns to Atlantic Coast Conference action on Sunday, March 25 when the team hosts Louisville for an ACC matchup. First serve is set for 11 a.m. and admission to all home matches at Drumlins Country Club is free.
