Orange Open Outdoor Slate at Trio of Meets

Paige Stoner kicked off her outdoor season in strong fashion, finishing sixth in the 10k at the Stanford Invitational, against a loaded field of some of the nation's best. Stoner finished in 32.34.38, with Olympic triathlete Gwen Jorgensen finishing first in 31:55.68.
Shannon Malone also competed in the 10k, taking 12th in 33:13.16.

Philo Germano led off the men's 5k with a second place finish. Germano finished in 13:50.48, building on his ACC runner-up performance from the indoor season. Northern Arizona's Luis Grijalva won in 13:48.75. Behind Germano, Aidan Tooker finished fourth (13:52.92), and Colin Bennie took seventh (28:37.04).

Iliass Aouani finished 20th in the 10k with a mark of 29:19.43.

Madeleine Davison took 14th in the women's 5k, with a time of 16:57.92.
In the 3000-meter steeplechase, Sydney Leiher finished ninth in 10:57.11.
At the Raleigh Relays, Simon Smith finished the 1500-meters in 3:48.34, which was good for 17th. Dominic Hockenbury finished 21st in the 10k, with a time of 29:36.64, and Kevin James was right behind in 27th, with a time of 29:48.88. Joe Dragon rounded out the group with a 34th-place finish in 29:55.25.
At the Florida Relays, Matt Moore took eighth in the 110-meter hurdles, crossing the line in 14.00. Orange alum Freddie Crittenden III finished third in 13.72 seconds. David Gilstrap finished in 29th, with a time of 14.47 seconds. Richard Floyd (14.59), Kelvin Almonte (14.89) and Chevis Armstead (15.21) also raced in the event.
Danielle Delgado also turned in a strong 400-meter hurdles start to the season, finishing ninth in 1:01.39.Â
Kadejhia Sellers finished the 400 in 53.67 seconds, which was good for 12th.
Imani Clark finished 27th in the 100-meter dash, crossing the line in 12.00 seconds.
Winston Lee finished the men's 100-meter dash in 26th place, finishing in 10.66 seconds.
Aviana Goode, who was an All-ACC performer in the indoor slate, finished 41st in her outdoor debut, finishing in 14.24 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles. Danielle Delgado wasn't far behind, with a time of 14.57 seconds, which earned her 53rd.
