SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- No. 8/8 Syracuse returns to the Carrier Dome on Wednesday, March 7 to host No. 3/4 Florida. The afternoon matinee is scheduled for 2 p.m. Admission and parking are free.

The game will be televised on ACC Network Extra. Fans can also listen to the game on WJPZ 89.1FM.

ORANGE FACE TOP-RANKED TEAMS
Syracuse (3-1) will face its second straight top-10 ranked opponent when it hosts Florida (4-1). The Orange took on No. 9 Virginia on the road last weekend. After taking on the third-ranked Gators, Syracuse hosts No. 2/5 Maryland on Sunday in the Carrier Dome at 2 p.m.

HAWRYSCHUK LEADS ORANGE OFFENSE
Sophomore Emily Hawryschuk (Victor, N.Y.) scored four goals in Syracuse's ACC opener at Virginia. It marked the third time she has accomplished the feat in four games this season. Hawryschuk ranks 12th in the nation in shooting percentage (.700) and leads the Orange in scoring (15 pts.) and goals (14).

SCOUTING THE GATORS
Florida defeated North Carolina last weekend to improve its record to 4-1. The lone setback came against defending national champion Maryland.

Lindsey Ronbeck leads a high-powered Gators' offense with 21 points on 17 goals and four assists. Shayna Pirreca and Sydney Pirreca are right behind with 17 points each. Overall, five players have recorded 10 or more points.

Haley Hicklen has started all five games in goal for Florida. She has an 11.10 goals-against average and a .546 save percentage.

THE SERIES
Syracuse and Florida will meet for the 10th time. The Orange own a slight 5-4 advantage in the all-time series, although the Gators have won the last two meetings. Last season, Florida defeated Syracuse, 19-12, in Gainesville.

Syracuse's brief two-game homestand comes to an end on Sunday, March 11 when the Orange host No. 2/5 Maryland at 1 p.m.
