
Season Best Marks Headline Florida Meet

The Syracuse sprinters traveled back to Florida on Friday for the Tom Jones Memorial, with season-best marks headlining the action.
Tia Thevenin finished third, and second against collegiate competitors in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing with a time of 13.38 seconds. The time ties her second-fastest mark ever, which she set at the NCAA East Prelims last season. Teammate Danielle Delgado finished close behind in fifth (13.62 seconds), which tied her second-fastest non-wind aided time ever as well.
In the men's hurdles, Angelo Goss finished ninth overall after qualifying with a season-best time of 13.77 seconds. Richard Floyd finished 11th in 13.97 seconds, Matt Moore in 12th (14.03) and David Gilstrap in 13th (14.07) to round out the field.
Aviana Goode took second in the high jump, clearing 1.68 meters, just 0.02 shy of her career best mark.
In a heavily-competitive relay field, the Syracuse women's 4x100-meter team took 10th, with Justice Richardson, Kadejhia Sellers, Imani Clark and Dasla Pressley combining to finish in 45.86 seconds.
In the 100-meter dash, Richardson took 22nd overall with a time of 11.91 seconds, while Winston Lee finished 28th for the men in the event, crossing the line in 10.53 seconds. Richardson also took 35th in the 200, finishing in 25.22 seconds.
Delgado went on to finish eighth in the 400-meter hurdles as well, with a time of 1:00.23.
The distance team will continue action at Bucknell on Saturday, headlined by NCAA Champion Justyn Knight's outdoor debut.
