Orange Seek First ACC Title Sunday
Clemson, S.C. – After a runner-up finish in 2017, the Syracuse University's women's rowing team is back on the hunt for its first Atlantic Coast Conference Championship this weekend. Action begins on Lake Hartwell in Clemson, S.C., with the first heat of the varsity eight at 8:05 am on Sunday.

The Orange earned No. 2 seeds in the varsity eight, second varsity eight and third varsity eight. 'Cuse's varsity four is seeded fifth and the second varsity four is seeded third.

Syracuse is receiving votes in this week's US Rowing/CRCA Coaches Poll while defending ACC champ Virginia is ranked No. 7 and Duke is just inside the top-20 at No. 18.

Virginia has won the ACC Championship in each of the last eight seasons and 17 times in 18 years since the ACC adopted women's rowing in 2000.

Last year, the Orange 2V8+ was named Crew of the Year while head coach Justin Moore was named ACC Coach of the Year.
