Syracuse Finishes Second at ACC Championship; Three Orange Earn All-ACC

Clemson, S.C. – For the second consecutive year Syracuse University's women's rowing team was the Atlantic Coast Conference Runner-Up after each Orange crew made their respective Grand Final races. 'Cuse earned 77 points while No. 7 Virginia won its ninth-straight ACC title and 18th in 19 years with 99 points.
No. 18 Duke finished third with 72 points while Notre Dame (69) and Louisville (64) rounded out the top-5.
The Orange varsity eight finished second to Virginia in the Grand Final, as did the 2V8 and 3V8. 'Cuse finished sixth in the varsity four and fifth in the 2V4 final.
Ashley Johnson and Lucy Pearce earned All-ACC First Team honors while Rebecca Spraggins (coxswain) was named the ACC-Second Team.
The Orange, who are receiving votes in the latest US Rowing/CRCA Coaches' Poll, will find out their NCAA Championships fate on Tuesday, May 15, at 5 p.m. ET.
