SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange did everything they needed to do at the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships last weekend, including a runner-up finish, in order to earn their third-straight NCAA Championship at-large bid. On top of that, Syracuse jumped back into the CRCA/US Rowing Coaches' Poll this week to the No. 15 spot after being the first team left out of the top-20 a week ago.
Syracuse's ACC Runner Up finish was its second in as many years claiming 77 points, 22 behind nine-time defending champion Virginia.
The Orange are seeded 16th in the first and second varsity eights for the NCAA Championships while the first varsity four earned a No. 15 seed.
The 2018 NCAA Rowing Championships will be held May 25-27, at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla.
