
Orange Land Nine on ACC All-Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Nine Orange women have earned spots on the Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic Rowing Team. The group is headlined by Arianna Lee, who is making her third appearance on the All-Academic Team.
 
Rachel Caldwell, Haley Jones and Rebecca Spraggins earned ACC All-Academic recognition for the second time, while Christine Habjan, Ashley Johnson, Lucy Pearce, Zoe Preston and Sydney Rodriguez were first-time selections.
 
Louisville led the league with 10 student-athletes on the ACC All-Academic Team, while Notre Dame's Treasa O'Tighearnaigh was named the 2018 Atlantic Coast Conference Rowing Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
 
Syracuse capped its 2018 season with a 16th-place finish at the NCAA National Championship in Sarasota, Fla., on May 26. The Orange's second varsity eight earned the highest finish of Syracuse's four crews, placing fifth in the Petite Final for an 11th place finish overall.
