Orange Earn IWLCA Academic Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse's Cara Quimby and Bri Stahrr have been named to the 2018 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zag Sports Academic Honor Roll. In addition, the Orange are one of 339 schools across Division I, II and III to be named as and IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad.

Last season, Quimby, who was in her third season with the Orange, played in 17 games. The health and exercise science and biology major scored a pair of goals at Princeton and against North Carolina in the ACC Tournament. Quimby was a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Academic Honor Roll and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll both semesters.

Stahrr, who is a rising senior, played in four games in 2018 in goal for the Orange. She helped the orange to victories against Connecticut, Albany and Harvard and played a season-high 6:35 against North Carolina in the Carrier Dome. Stahrr is a double-major in English and textual studies and English education. She was a member of ACC Academic Honor Roll and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll both semesters.

Student-athletes who are juniors, seniors or graduate students and have earned a 3.50 cumulative GPA are eligible for the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. In addition, schools that post a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year qualify for the Academic Honor Squads list.
