
Central New York Showdown Set for Henley Royal Regatta

Henley-on-Thames, Eng. – It will be a Central New York showdown for the first round of the Temple Challenge at the Henley Royal Regatta as Syracuse University will face Cornell at 5:30 p.m. (12:30 p.m. EST) on Wednesday.
The 179th Henley Royal Regatta will take place from July 4-8 in Henley-on-Thames, England. Founded in 1839, Henley Royal Regatta is famous both for being both a major sporting event and social event. 2018 marks the first time in 11 years that Syracuse will compete at Henley.
What makes Henley truly unique is that racing is on a knock-out basis with crews rowing abreast over the 550-yard course (2,112 meters).
Fans can watch every race from Henley live including Syracuse versus Cornell on Wednesday.
