Orange Set for Henley Royal Regatta Quarterfinals

Henley-On-Thames, Eng. – Syracuse University will race the home favorite Oxford Brookes University, one of the top British university crews, on Friday in the quarterfinals of the Temple Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta. Syracuse advanced after earning wins over Central New York rival Cornell and Trinity College Dublin in the first two rounds of the knock out style race format.

Race time is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. BST (1:40 p.m. EST).

Established in March 1839 in Henley-on-Thames, England, Henley takes place on The Straight Course, a 2,112-meter course on River Thames. The regatta lasts five days and races are head-to-head with one race per day for each boat.

The Orange, which is one of nine Division I US teams competing at the 2018 Henley Royal Regatta and five remaining in the Temple Cup, last competed at Henley in 2007.

Fans can watch every race from Henley live including Syracuse versus Trinity College of Dublin on Thursday.
