Orange Run Ends at Henley in Quarterfinals

Henley-On-Thames, Eng. – Syracuse University's run came to an end in the quarterfinals of the Temple Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta on Friday when two-time defending champion Oxford Brookes University defeated the Orange by one length.
Syracuse reached the quarterfinals after earning wins over Cornell and Trinity College Dublin in the first and second rounds, respectively.
The Orange were one of five American crews to advance to the quarterfinals of the Temple Challenge Cup. Yale and Washington advance to the semifinals on Saturday while Brown and Princeton saw their time chasing the cup come to an end as well on Friday.
Established in March 1839 in Henley-on-Thames, England, Henley takes place on The Straight Course, a 2,112-meter course on River Thames. The regatta lasts five days and races are head-to-head with one race per day for each boat.
