Syracuse alumna Hattie Taylor is one of 66 athletes from Great Britain that will race at the World Rowing Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, at the Plovdiv Rowing Venue. Racing begins Sept. 9 and concludes on the 16th.

Taylor and teammate Rowan McKellar look to make their mark on the World Championship stage after earning a bronze in the women's pair at World Cup 2 in Linz, Germany, in June. The duo previously earned a silver medal at World Cup 1 in Belgrade, Serbia.

A four-year letter winner for the Orange women's rowing team from 2014-17, Taylor earned Division I Pocock CRCA All-America Second Team honors and was named CRCA All-Region First Team and All-Atlantic Coast Conference First Team. As a senior, she was a staple in the Orange's first varsity eight boat that won three ACC Crew of the Week honors and earned a bronze finish at the 2017 ACC Championships.
