AKRON, Ohio. -- Syracuse concludes its two-game road trip with a match up at Akron on Monday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse took on No. 21 Virginia Tech on Friday in Blacksburg. After neither team scored in regulation and the first overtime session, the Hokies found the back of the net in the 108th minute for the 1-0 victory. The Orange enter Monday's game with a 3-4-1 record.

SCOUTING THE ZIPS
Akron (4-3-1) is coming off a 4-3 overtime win at VCU on Wednesday, which extended its winning streak to three.

The Zips have two players with 10 or more points. David Egbo leads the way with 17 points on seven goals and three assists. Diogo Pacheco has scored five goals for 10 points.

THE SERIES
Syracuse will take on Akron for the second straight year and third time in program history. The Zips have won the previous two meetings.

Akron came to the SU Soccer Stadium last season. Ezana Kahsay scored on assists from Joe Korb and Skye Harter in the 35th minute and the Zips recorded a 1-0 victory.

UP NEXT
The Orange return to the SU Soccer Stadium on Friday, Oct. 5 to host No. 1 Wake Forest at 7 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
