
'Cuse Set for Upstate Challenge

The Syracuse track and field teams will continue their 2019 slate on Saturday at the Cornell Indoor Upstate Challenge.

- The meet will take place at Barton Hall.
- It's the second of four trips (three indoor) to Cornell this year. The Orange will also make three indoor trips to Boston University as well.
Previewing the Meet
- All-American Paige Stoner will make her season debut, and her first competitive event since the NCAA Championships last year after not having NCAA eligibility to compete in cross country. Stoner will race in the women's mile along with Ryley Higgins and Keiana Mitchell. Pierce Miller will run the event for the men.
- Aviana Goode, who is coming off a pair of wins last weekend, will kickoff the day in the long jump.
- Chevis Armstead and Andrew Aguilera will take on the 60-meter hurdles for the men.
- Chucka Soronnadi will compete in the 60-meter dash for the men, while Eunice Boateng will do the same for the women.
- Lily Worden and Mariana McManus are set to compete in the 500, while Hannah Loder and Alexis Harper race in the 400. Jalen Racine and Kwaku Agyemang will compete in the 400 as well for the 'Cuse men. Alexis Crosby will race in the 200 for the women as well.
- The 800 is the one of the deeper fields on the day for the Orange, with Robert Roosa, Cameron Bailey, Kokeith Perry and James Proctor competing. Kerri Potts will race for the women.
- Noah Beveridge will run the 1000.
- Emma Wilson, Eva Scott, Elizabeth Cultra, Declan Kottmeier, Keith McAteer, Thomas Struzzieri and Matt Cavallaro will conclude the day's individual competitors in the 3000-meters.
- 'Cuse will also have relay squads of the DMR and the 4x400-meter relay squads as well.
Last Time Out
- Matt Moore and Aviana Goode turned in the Orange wins.
- Moore, making his season debut, turned in one of the top-12 times in the nation in the 60-meter hurdles. Moore finished in 7.83 seconds for an easy win.
- Goode won the same even for the women in 8.83 seconds, while also winning the high jump later in the day.
