Two Top-20 Finishes Highlight Orange Success at Head of the Charles

Syracuse University's women's rowing team had a successful second event of the fall season placing two boats in the top-20 overall of the Championship 4+ and Championship 8+ at the Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday.Â
The Championship 4+ finished eighth overall crossing the line in 18:19.204. Washington was first in 17:33.168 while Brown and Stanford rounded out the top-3, respectively. Syracuse finished ahead of crews from Dartmouth, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) foe Boston College, Northeastern, Rhode Island and Radcliffe.
The Championship 8+ was 17th overall and 12th among NCAA Division I teams. Syracuse beat crews from Penn, Northeastern, Michigan 'B', Boston University, Tennessee, Cornell, Minnesota, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Dartmouth, Bucknell and Rhode Island.Â
The Orange will complete the fall season in two weeks at the Cornell Autumn Classic on Saturday, Nov. 2, in Ithaca, N.Y.Â
