Iliass Aouani medaled in his second event of the weekend and Matt Moore took bronze in the 60-meter hurdles, highlighting the final day of the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
'Cuse posted numerous scorers in addition to Saturday's two medalists. All of these events came on the heels of Paige Stoner capturing the ACC title in the 5000-meter run on Friday night.
Aidan Tooker finished fourth in the mile to start the day, before doubling in the 3000-meters later in the night.
Tooker finished in 4:05.23, good for fourth, followed closely by top-freshman Michal Philips (4:05.48). Nathan Henderson finished in eighth (4:08.35).
Moore took third in 7.83 seconds, behind Florida State's Trey Cunningham (7.64) for the win. Richard Floyd, who also qualified to the final, was DQed due to a false start.
The 'Cuse women placed three in the top-six of the 3000-meter run. Rachel Bonner led the way in fourth (9:25.67) in what was a tight race that saw 2.5 seconds separate first through sixth. ACC 5k Champion Paige Stoner finished fifth (9:26.52) and Laura Dickinson doubled back after scoring in the 5k with a sixt-place finish (9:26.57). Louisville's Dorcas Wasike (9:24.05) took the victory.
Aouani – who earned bronze yesterday in the 5k – took silver in the 3000-meter run, an event the 'Cuse men put four in the top-10. Aouani (8:00.99) was just edged by Virginia Tech's Peter Seufer (7:59.60) for the race win. Noah Affolder also picked up points for the Orange, taking sixth in 8:04.56.
Phillips (8:13.31) and Tooker (8:14.67) finished their double with ninth and 10th-place finishes, respectively.
As a team, the 'Cuse men finished seventh with 33 points, while the women took 10th with 29. Miami claimed the ACC women's championship with 91 points, while Florida State and Virginia Tech will share the men's crown with 117 points apiece.
