
Outdoor Season Kicks Off This Weekend

The Syracuse track and field teams will kick off their outdoor slate in a busy way this weekend, with a trio of meets.
2018 OUTDOOR REVIEW
- 'Cuse returns four All-Americans from last year's NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
- 3000-meter steeplechase bronze medalist Paige Stoner was the highest finishing Syracuse woman ever at an NCAA track championship event last year and looks to build on that performance.
- Aidan Tooker and Noah Affolder, who were each All-Americans in the men's 3000-meter steeplechase return as well. The duo also went 1-2 at the ACC Championships last season.
- Matt Moore headlines the Orange's hurdles group after qualifying for the 110-meter hurdles last season.
FLORIDA RELAYS
- The Florida Relays will be the destination for the 'Cuse sprinters.
- The meet will be televised on Friday and Saturday on SEC Network + through the WatchESPN app. Watch Friday | Watch SaturdayÂ

- Dasia Pressley will get things started in the 100-meter dash.
- Eunice Boateng and Pressley will run in the 200-meter dash for the women, while Jordan Davenport will represent the men.
- Alexis Crosby and Cheyenne Trigg will race in the 400.
- Aviana Goode, fresh off an All-ACC performance in the heptathlon, will race in the 100-meter hurdles. Goode will later compete in the high jump.
- The 110-meter hurdles will have the deepest Orange field, with Andrew Aguilera, Kelvin Almonte, Richard Floyd and Moore set to compete.
STANFORD INVITATIONAL
- The distance group heads west to get their first 5 and 10ks of the season in a top-tier distance meet.
- The meet will be broadcast on FloTrack (Watch).

- Rachel Bonner and Melissa Lodge will take on the women's 5k.
- Affolder, Tooker, and freshman Michael Phillips will race in the 5k.
- Laura Dickinson, Stoner and Iliass Aouani will start their seasons off with a 10k.
RALEIGH RELAYS
- The Raleigh Relays will feature a number of Orange distance runners.

- Abigail Spiers will get her season started with a 5k, as will Nathan Henderson, Matthew Scrape and Simon Smith for the Orange men
- Madeleine Davison will race in the 10k.
- Joe Dragon and Dominic Hockenbury, who both qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary last season, will get their first 10k underway as well.
