
Orange Move Up Four Spots in Oracle/ITA Poll

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse women's tennis team moved up four spots in the latest Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll, claiming the No. 28 spot after defeating then-No. 15 Florida State, 4-3, last Sunday. The rankings were released Tuesday, March 26.
The Orange, who were ranked No. 32 in last week's poll, are 11-6 overall this season, including a 4-4 mark in Atlantic Coast Conference play. Syracuse has won seven of its last nine dual matches.
The team's 4-3 win over Florida State was its second of the season against a ranked opponent. The Orange also defeated then-No. 9 Michigan earlier in the year.
North Carolina (No. 2), Duke (No. 3), NC State (No. 10), Wake Forest (No. 14), Florida State (No. 20), Virginia (No. 27), Miami (No. 29), Georgia Tech (No. 33) and Notre Dame (No. 42) are the ACC's other representatives in the team rankings.
Syracuse is in the midst of a five-match homestand. The Orange are next set to host North Carolina, the nation's second-ranked team, inside Drumlins Country Club this Friday.
