
Orange Seeded #9 in ACC Tournament

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The 31st-ranked Syracuse women's tennis team has earned the No. 9 seed in the 2019 Atlantic Coast Conference Tennis Championship. The tournament runs from Wednesday, April 17, to Sunday, April 21, at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina.
The Orange will play No. 8Â Georgia Tech, which is ranked No. 33 nationally, at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18, in the second round. The winner advances to Friday's quarterfinal for a showdown against top-seeded North Carolina.
Syracuse played at Georgia Tech in the regular season, losing 4-3 to the then-No. 35 Yellow Jackets. The Orange lost to Georgia Tech in last year's ACC Tournament quarterfinal round.
North Carolina is the No. 1 seed in the tournament, while Duke, No. 3 Florida State and No. 4 NC State round out the top four.
