
Men’s Rowing Remains Top-10

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse Orange men's rowing team remained ranked ninth this week in the IRA/US Rowing Coaches Poll. Syracuse has been ranked ninth for two-straight weeks and is undefeated in cup races in all three varsity eight boats. The Orange claimed both the Goes Trophy and Stagg Trophy this weekend by defeating No. 11 Navy and No. 12 Cornell.
'Cuse claimed the Goes Trophy for the 12th time in program history when the varsity eight edged Navy by one second. The Orange brought the Stagg Trophy back to Syracuse for the second-consecutive year and back-to-back for the first time since 1998-99. The Goes Trophy is determined by the winner of the varsity eight race while the Stagg Trophy is awarded to the team that claims the most points between the 1V8+, 2V8+ and 3V8+.
The Orange travel to Overpeck, N.J. this Saturday, April 27, to battle Boston University and Columbia for the Conlan Cup and return home to host Dartmouth for the Packard Cup at
