
Three Named Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-Americans

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse junior Emily Hawryschuk leads a group of three members of the Orange named to Inside Lacrosse's Midseason All-America teams. Hawryschuk earned first-team accolades, while freshman Sarah Cooper was named to the second team. Senior Nicole Levy earned third-team honors.

Hawryschuk has powered the Syracuse offense this season. She ranks fourth in the nation in goals (51) and sixth in points (64). In addition, her 13 assists this season are a career high. Hawryschuk has scored three or more goals in 12 of the Orange's 15 games this season, including game-winning goals against then No. 4 Northwestern, No. 12 Notre Dame and No. 12 Duke.

Cooper has made an immediate impact on Syracuse's defense. She is first on the team in caused turnovers with 24, and second on the team in ground balls with 26. Cooper also ranks third on the team in draw controls. Cooper is one of two freshman to make the Midseason All- America teams.

Levy leads the Orange in assists this season with 23. She is second on the team in goals with 27 and points with 50. Levy has recorded three or more points in 12 of Syracuse's 15 games this season, including her five-point performance against Northwestern that helped the Orange to a 15-14 overtime victory.

Syracuse is in the midst of a 10-day off stretch that concludes when the No. 3/3 Orange take on the No. 6/5 North Carolina Tar Heels in Chapel Hill on Saturday, April 13. Opening draw is set for 12 p.m. Syracuse is 3-1 on the road this season.Â
