Syracuse Finishes Third at ACC Rowing Championships

SATURDAY RESULTS
Clemson, S.C. – The 18th-ranked Syracuse University women's rowing team placed third at the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Rowing Championships Saturday morning at Lake Hartwell in Clemson, S.C. The Orange placed top-three in three of five Grand Finals including second in the second in the varsity four.
Syracuse finished with 75 points in third place while Virginia edged Duke with by five points with 95 points to win the ACC Title. Meg Varcoe was named All-ACC First Team while Sydney Michalak was selected for the Second Team.
 
In the 3V8+ Grand Final, Syracuse finished third behind Virginia and Duke in the first event of the morning. The Orange placed fourth in the 2V4+ and fourth in the 2V8+ before wrapping up the day with a third place finish in the varsity eight.
 
Virginia claimed its 10th-straight ACC Rowing Championship while Duke finished as runner-up for the first time since 2016.
 
The Orange now await their NCAA Championship fate with the selection show at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, on NCAA.com.
