The Syracuse women's 4x100-meter relay team smashed their own school record at the NCAA East Prelims on Saturday night, posting a time of 44.36 seconds – nearly a full second faster than their previous record.
Eunice Boateng, Dasia Pressley, Alexis Crosby and Cheyenne Trigg raced to a 15th-place finish in the event, three places shy of qualifying for Austin. The group, which comes back in its entirety next season, posted back-to-back school records to close the year after setting the previous record at the ACC Championship.
Rachel Bonner placed ninth in her 24-runner heat in the 5000-meter run, crossing the line in 16:38.14. The top-seven from her heat qualified for nationals.
Matthew Scrape finished his freshman campaign with a time of 15:05.45 in the 5k, good for a 19th-place finish in his heat.
'Cuse qualified Iliass Aouani, Laura Dickinson and Paige Stoner in the men's and women's 10,000-meters on June 5/6 in Austin, Texas.
