Davison Earns CoSIDA Academic All-America Nod

Madeleine Davison, who has maintained a perfect GPA in her three years at 'Cuse, was named a Google Cloud/CoSIDA Academic All-American.
Her and teammate Laura Dickinson had previously earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors, with Davison being selected to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division I Cross Country/Track & Field Third Team. It's one of many academic honors for the program this spring, as Iliass Aouani was named ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Dickinson and Paige Stoner were tabbed to the ACC All-Academic Team.
Majoring in newspaper and online journalism in the renowned S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Davison took 23rd at the ACC Cross Country Championships in the fall, narrowly missing All-ACC honors. She helped the team tie its best finish at a conference meet since joining the ACC, taking third. She also turned in a PR 10k time of 35:28.23 at the Raleigh Relays this spring.
'Cuse will head into the 2019 cross country season returning six of its top-seven runners from the ACC Championship on the men's side and five of its top-seven finishers from the women's race.
