Orange Best Penn State in Final Exhibition

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Sophomore Ryan Raposo scored in the 52nd minute to give Syracuse a 1-0 win at Penn State in its final tune up for the 2019 season. The Orange won all three of their scrimmages, which included two shutouts.

Redshirt junior goalkeeper Jake Leahy made all three of his saves in the first half. Syracuse scored the only goal of the game in the 52nd minute when Raposo found the back of the net off an assist from senior Massimo Ferrin. The Orange successfully defended against five Penn State corner kicks in the victory.

Syracuse officially opens the season on Friday, Aug. 30 at No. 13 Georgetown at 4 p.m.
