SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse faces its second consecutive ranked opponent when it hosts No. 20 Louisville on Friday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. The match is the ACC opener for both teams. Admission and parking at the SU Soccer Stadium are free.

The game will be streamed on ACC Network Extra, but fans can only watch the stream if their cable provider carries the ACC Network. Fans unsure if their provider carries ACCN are strongly encouraged to visit GetACCN.com. Live updates will also be available on Twitter (@CuseMSoc).

The Orange hope to "Pack the Hill" and fans are encouraged to arrive early as thunder sticks will be given away while supplies last.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse (1-1-2) is coming off back-to-back ties last weekend at the Soccer Stadium. The Orange tied Yale, 1-1, on Friday before tying then No. 22 New Hampshire, 2-2, on Sunday.

Sophomore Ryan Raposo continues to lead the Syracuse offense. He leads the team in points (10) and goals (4) and is tied for the top spot in assists (2). Raposo has already tied his goal total from last season when he netted four goals in 18 matches. He led the team with seven assists as a freshman.

ORANGE IN ACC OPENERS
Syracuse is 1-3-2 all-time in ACC openers. The Orange open conference play at home for the second consecutive year and third time in the last seven years.

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Louisville enters Friday's game ranked No. 20 in the United Soccer Coaches poll. The Cardinals are 2-1-1, with one of their wins coming against then No. 9 Kentucky. Their one loss was a 2-0 setback at USF on Monday.

Cherif Dieye and Louka Masset lead the Louisville offense with two goals each. Dieye also has an assist for a team-high five points. Jake Gelnovatch has played every minute in goal for the Cardinals. He has a .750 save percentage and a 0.95 goals-against average.

Syracuse and Louisville have met 14 times on the pitch. The Cardinals own a 9-2-3 advantage in the all-time series

The Cardinals hosted last year's meeting between the two schools. Tajon Buchanan scored twice in the first half to give the Orange an early two-goal lead. However, Louisville tallied two unanswered goals in the second half, the second coming on a penalty kick, to send the game to overtime. Both squads had scoring chances in the overtime sessions, but neither could take advantage as the match ended in a 2-2 tie.

The Orange conclude their stretch of five consecutive home games on Tuesday, Sept. 17 when they host Central New York foe Cornell. Start time at the SU Soccer Stadium is set for 7 p.m. Admission and parking are free. The game will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
