
Orange Recruiting Class Ranked Among Nation's Best

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse women's lacrosse's freshman class has been ranked No. 9 in the nation by Inside Lacrosse. In addition, two players were ranked in the publication's Power 100 Incoming Freshman rankings.

Katelyn Mashewske from Rush-Henrietta High School (N.Y.) is ranked 30th among incoming freshman, while Bianca Chevarie from the Everest Academy (Ontario) is ranked No. 35. Chevarie helped Team Canada win the silver medal at the U19 Women's Lacrosse World Championship in August, and both played in the 2019 Under Armour All-America Game in June.

The incoming freshman class joins a squad that earned the No. 5 seed in last year's NCAA Tournament and advanced to the quarterfinals. The Orange have made eight consecutive appearances in the NCAA Tournament.
