SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Syracuse (8-8, 2-3 ACC) travels to the Petersen Events Center on Sunday afternoon to take on Pittsburgh (3-13, 0-5 ACC) at 12:00 p.m. on ACC Network Extra. 'Cuse looks to move itself above .500 with a win against a Panthers' team that has lost nine consecutive games.Â
The Orange are coming off back-to-back losses to Miami and Georgia Tech. Kiara Lewis leads the team with 17.8 points per game. She continued her impressive season on Thursday night, as she put up 21 points. Her performance against Georgia Tech was her third 20-point performance in the last four games.Â
Teisha Hyman also added 10 points in Thursday's loss to the Yellow Jackets. The freshman guard has become a consistent contributor off the bench for the Orange, scoring in double figures in four of the last five games. Emily Engstler averages a double double with 10.1 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.Â
The Panthers return home from a hard-fought battle at Clemson, falling just short to the Tigers, 75-67, in overtime. Clemson outscored Pittsburgh 12-4 in the extra frame to stop the Panthers from notching their first conference win. Aysia Bugg leads the team with 13.1 points per game while Amber Brown averages 10.8 points per game.Â
Syracuse leads the all-time series against Pittsburgh 42-19. The Orange have not lost to the Panthers since the 2008-09 season, winning 16-straight games against former the former Big East rival turned ACC foe. Coach Hillsman is 15-3 against Pittsburgh.Â
