SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse tennis (3-0) continues its stretch of home matches on Sunday when Boston University (2-0) comes to town. Match play begins at 11 a.m. at Drumlins Country Club and fans can follow the match via ACC Network Extra. It's Youth and Team Day. Pizza, games, and opportunities to win prizes will be available.Â

LAST TIME OUT
The Orange topped Cornell 5-2 last Sunday in the home opener. The Orange win featured four two-set sweeps, those victories coming from seniors Guzal Yusupova and Miranda Ramirez and freshmen Zeynep Erman and Kim Hansen. Freshman Polina Kozyreva added Syracuse's final point, winning in a tiebreak. 'Cuse initially dropped the doubles point but rallied in singles to start 3-0 for the third-consecutive year.Â

SCOUTING THE TERRIERS
BU is led by 35-year veteran Lesley Sheehan. The Terriers finished the 2018-2019 season 14-9 overall and 6-0 in the Patriot League. Boston closed out last season with a 4-3 loss to Army in the Patriot League final in Williamsport, Pa., the loss snapping an eight-match winning streak.Â

BU contains a multitude of experience and talent. Freshman Erica Di Battista recently earned back-to-back Patriot League Player of the Week nods, and the Terriers lineup includes 2019 Patriot League Rookie of the Year Shelly Yaloz. Yaloz and doubles partner Emily Kim also collected PL Doubles Team of the Year honors.

The Orange home stand continues Friday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. against St. John's (1-1).
