SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The No. 23 Orange kick off their home campaign on Wednesday, Dec. 2 with a non-conference game against Lincoln (NCAA Division II). Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. at the Carrier Dome.
The early December meeting will be the first between the two teams in program history. Lincoln, a member of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), posted a 23-6 record in 2019-20 and went 12-3 in conference before losing in the first round of the CIAA Tournament.
Last season the Lions earned their first national ranking in the school's Division II era. Lincoln set a program record with 23 victories in 2019-20 and has scheduled four Division I teams to begin its non-conference season.
Syracuse returns four of five starters from last season's 16-15 squad, adds the No. 4 recruiting class and welcomes Tiana Mangakahia back to the hardwood after sitting out the 2019-20 season while battling Stage 2 breast cancer.
