
#23 Syracuse Ready for #10 Virginia

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - For the first time in over a month, Syracuse is hitting the road for a match. No. 23 Syracuse (8-2, 3-1 ACC) travels to Charlottesville, Va. to play No. 10 Virginia (9-4, 3-2 ACC) at the Snyder Tennis Center Friday at 2 p.m. Fans can watch the match here and follow the live stats here.
The Orange are coming off a weekend sweep against No. 15 Notre Dame and Louisville, 'Cuse winning both matches 4-3. Syracuse has recorded eight wins in the first 10 matches for the third time in the Younes Limam era and are led by Miranda Ramirez who is 9-1 in singles play this spring. Ramirez won back-to-back matches last weekend and has won seven matches in straight sets this year, all but one of those coming at No. 2. Right behind her are Kim Hansen (8-2) and Zeynep Erman (7-2).

The Cavaliers are coming off a weekend split against No. 1 North Carolina (L, 6-1) and No. 3 NC State (W, 4-3). The Hoos have won the doubles point in 11 of their last 13 matches, and their victory against the Wolfpack was their first over a top-five opponent since the 2016 season when they defeated No. 3 North Carolina in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Freshman Natasha Subhash improved to 24-6 in her freshman campaign and is 14-4 against nationally-ranked opponents. She is now 9-4 in dual matches this season playing at the top of the lineup. In doubles, Vivian Glozman and Rosie Johanson improved to 10-2 on the season, while Sofia Munera and Subhash are now 12-3 as a doubles pair.

Syracuse returns home next Friday to host No. 8 Georgia Tech at Drumlins Country Club at 3 p.m. (ACC Network Extra).
