Freshman Duo Advances At ITA Regional

PHILADELPHIA -- Syracuse's doubles team of freshmen Miyuka Kimoto and Shiori Ito won their opening match at the ITA Northeast Regional on Friday, Oct. 1. The duo defeated Natalia Aruj and Kyra Bergmann from Binghamton, 8-1.
Kimoto and Shiori will now take on Temple's Ling-Hsuan Wei and Sena Takebe in the third round on Saturday. Kimoto and Shiori earned a first-round bye as a top-four seed in the tournament.
