
The Orange Defeat the Bison on the Road

LEWISBURG Pa. – The Orange scored a 4-0 win against the Bucknell Bison on Tuesday in Lewisburg. Sophomore forward Deandre Kerr began the scoring on a pass from freshman Curt Calov in the 14th minute. In the 38th minute, sophomore midfielder Jeorgio Kocevski crossed the ball to senior forward Manel Busquets who put it past Bison junior goalie Bennett Schwartz to give the Orange a 2-0 lead. In the second half, Syracuse's third goal came when freshman forward Julius Rauch found the back of the net on a cross from graduate student Luke Biasi. Senior midfielder Julio Fulcar finished the scoring in the last minute of the game on a penalty kick. Syracuse improves to 7-5-2 overall, while Bucknell is now 4-6-2.
"It was important for us to finish our non-conference schedule with a win," said head coach Ian McIntyre. "It was a quick turn around from an emotional overtime game on Friday night. I thought our guys attitude and approach was spot on and we got the job done with two good halves of soccer."

The Orange continue their week-long road stretch at Boston College on Friday (Oct. 15) at 7 p.m. They return home on Saturday, October 23rd to host Clemson in their final regular season home match of the season. Admission to the SU Soccer Stadium is free. All fans attending games must adhere to Syracuse University's COVID-19 policy, which can be found here. Syracuse will close the stretch of three games at Bucknell on Monday, October 11.
