
Orange to Start Fall Season at Head of the Charles

Race Schedule
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The 2021-22 Syracuse women's rowing team will make its debut at the Head of The Charles Regatta on Sunday, October 24 on the Charles River in Cambridge, Mass. The varsity four will race in the Championship 4 (bow #6) at 1:30 pm and the varsity eight will compete in the Championship 8 (bow #8) at 2:25 pm.
The last time Orange competed in this event was 2019, when they placed two boats in the top-20. The varsity four finished eighth in the Championship 4+ and the varsity eight placed 17th in the Championship 8+. The 2020 event was not held due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Head coach Luke McGee will lead the Orange for the fourth year. In 2020-21 he guided the Orange to a 10th-place finish at the NCAA Championship, which was the best performance in program history.
