The Syracuse women's basketball team will host #2/4 North Carolina State on Sunday for the final game of the regular season. The Orange (12-6, ACC 9-6) and the Wolfpack (16-2, ACC 11-2) tip-off at Noon on ACC Network.
Sunday is Syracuse's annual Play4Kay breast cancer awareness game and prior to the start of the game the Orange will recognize Amaya Finklea-Guity and Maeva Djaldi-Tabdi for Senior Day. Sunday will be the final game in the Carrier Dome for Finklea-Guity, Djaldi-Tabdi as well as Kiara Lewis, Tiana Mangakahia and Digna Strautmane who have celebrated Senior Day in year's past.
'Cuse enters Sunday's matchup with the No. 2 team in the country on a high after defeating Boston College 92-75 to improve to a perfect 8-0 at home this season. Freshman Kamilla Cardoso leads the team in scoring with 14.9 points per game, which is 11thin the ACC and second amongst freshmen in the ACC. Tiana Mangakahia (11.7 ppg) and Kiara Lewis (13.7 ppg) continue to average double figures in scoring while Mangakahia's 7.6 assists per game leads the nation. Junior Emily Engstler remains force off the bench nearly averaging a double double with 9.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game and is shooting 44.1 percent from the field.
NC State is 5-2 on the road this season under head coach Wes Moore. The Wolfpack are led by Elissa Cunane (15.5 ppg) and Jakia Brown-Turner (15.2 ppg). NC State is riding a four-game win streak coming into Sunday's game and will play their first road game since a win against Wake Forest on Feb. 18.
The Wolfpack lead the all-time series 7-4 but are 1-2 on the road in Syracuse. Last season, NC State won a close matchup against the Orange in Raleigh, 69-60. Lewis had a team-best 20 points for the Orange.
