
Orange Head to Raleigh for ACC Championships

The Orange will be traveling to NC State for the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championship this weekend. Races will begin Thursday, and the finals will conclude on Saturday.

Thursday entries:
Track events begin with the women's 400m hurdles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday followed by the men's 400m hurdles at 6:20 p.m. Shaleah Colaire will run for the women. Jamil Adams will run on the men's side.
Next up, Eunice Boateng will race in the women's 200m at 6:40 p.m.
A pair of 'Cuse men are set to race in the same heat of the men's 1500 on Thursday. Both Simon Smith and Kevin Robertson will both race in heat one of three. That race is scheduled to begin at 7:45 p.m.
The night concludes with the women's and men's 10000m at 8:10 p.m. and 8:50 p.m. respectively, where Syracuse will have a deep field in each race. Amanda Vestri, Jordan Jacob and Annie Heffernan will all compete on the women's side to finish off night one. JP Trojan, Joe Dragon, Silas Derfel, Dominic Hockenbury, Alex Comerford and Matthew Scrape will all run on the men's side to close out Thursday night.
Vestri has the best 10k time in the league in the 10k this season for the women, while Trojan has the ACC's second-best time to date.

Friday starts with the women's 100m hurdles at 6:00 p.m. followed by the men's 110m hurdles at 6:10 p.m. Sophomore Shaleah Colaire and freshman Ashley Wallace will race for the women. Anthony Vazquez, Jamil Adams and David Peters will all run in the second heat for the men.
Next up, Boateng will race in her second event of the weekend, racing in the first-of-four heats of the 100-meter dash, starting at 7:15 p.m.
Friday concludes with the women's and men's 3000m steeple at 8:25 p.m. and 8:50 p.m. respectively. Sophomore Justus Holden-Betts will run for the Orange women in the second of two sections. Senior Aidan Tooker will run for the SU men for the final race on Friday.

The women's 5000m finals will start at 7:40. Vestri, Heffernan, Jacob, Emma Eastman and Reilly Zink will all run for the women. Vestri will look to defend her ACC Indoor championship in the event.
Joe Dragon, Simon Smith, Sam Lawler, Ethan Wechsler, Kevin James and Trojan will all represent the 'Cuse men beginning at 8:05 p.m.
