
Orange Wrap Up Night 2 of NCAA East Prelims

The Syracuse track and field teams took to the Kentucky track for the second-of-four nights of competition at the NCAA East Preliminary.
The Orange had two runners compete in the national semifinal for the 10,000-meter run, where Emma Eastman was 33rd, crossing the line in 34:48.27. Madeline Heintz was seven spots behind her with a time of 35:07.57.
Peyton Rollins competed in the 100-meter hurdles, posting a time of 13.62 seconds, which was good for 39th overall.
Action continues Friday, with Orange men set to compete in four event quarterfinals, looking to punch tickets to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Benne Anderson will be first up at 5:15 p.m. in the 1,500-meter run, followed by Julian Franjieh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase 15 minutes later. Jamir Brown will race in the 110-meter hurdles at 6:15 p.m., before the night concludes at 7:25 p.m. with Elijah Mallard in the 400-meter hurdles.
