
Orange post two top-15 finishes in the women's 10k

Syracuse posted two in the top-15 at the NCAA Championships in the women's 10,000-meter run.
Both Amanda Vestri and Annie Heffernan are set to earn Second Team All-America honors with their finish.
Vestri finished in 10th in 32:52.74, while Heffernan was not far behind in 33:09.83, which was good for 15th. The race was again fast for a championship race, with 15 of the 24 competitors posting PRs.
Oregon's Carmela Cardama Baez won the race in 32:16.13.
Vestri and Heffernan's finish wraps up the meet for the Orange. On Wednesday, Aidan Tooker took 16th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, and JP Trojan was 21st in the 10k.
