Orange Trio Named IRCA All-Americans

Three Syracuse University oarsmen have been named Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRCA) All-Americans. Arnaud Buard and Nicholas Kohl earned First Team recognition while Benjamin Dukes was a Second Team selection.

The IRCA announced 73 oarsmen and coxswains named to the first, second or honorable mention All-America teams on Wednesday afternoon.

All three athletes raced in the varsity eight this spring that reached as high as No. 3 in the IRCA Rankings this season. The trio led the Orange to an undefeated regular season in head-to-head races earning wins over crews from Boston University, Northeastern, U.S. Naval Academy, Wisconsin and George Washington.

The Orange placed fourth at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Championship in May, marking the highest finish for the Orange at the annual championship regatta in nearly two decades.
