• Saturday's game is the first meeting between Syracuse and UAlbany.Â
• The Great Danes are the Orange's first first-time opponent since 2019 when they faced Liberty in the season opener.
• Since the beginning of the 2000 season, Syracuse has played 16 new opponents, going 11-5 in those games.

• Syracuse owns a 73-78-11 (.485) overall record against FBS and FCS members located in the state of New York.
• The Orange have won each of their past 11 contests against opponents from the Empire State. In its current streak against in-state foes, Syracuse has outscored the opposition 432-104.

• Syracuse is a perfect 18-0 against FCS foes (formerly Division I-AA) since the separation of major college football programs into two divisions in 1978.

JONES LEADS DEFENSIVE EFFORT
• LB Mikel Jones has recorded 10-or-more tackles in each of Syracuse's first two games of the season. He leads the team in tackles.
• That total ties him for ninth in the nation and leads the ACC in total tackles.Â
• Jones had 2.5 tackles for loss against the Scarlet Knights, helping the Orange record 13.0 as a team. Syracuse ranks 11th in the nation and first in the ACC in that category (9.0 TFL/per game).
FOR THE FIRST TIME
• Syracuse is 104-48-14 all-time when facing an opponent for the first time. Most recently, the Orange defeated Liberty, 24-0, in the first meeting between the squads in 2019.
SERVAIS STANDS ALONE
• Redshirt-senior OL Airon Servais made his 50th straight start in Saturday's game versus Rutgers. That number is the most starts in program history.
• He entered the game against the Scarlet Knights tied for the most total starts by a Syracuse player with Orange QB Donovan McNabb, who make 49 starts from 1995-98.
• Servais has started every game in which he has played, a streak that started in 2017.
• He logged 1,103 snaps in 13 starts and was on the field for every offensive snap in 11 games as a sophomore in 2018 .
• He has made starts at center, left tackle and right tackle during his career.
BEHIND THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE
• Syracuse recorded 13 TFLs against Rutgers. That total is the fourth-highest total in a game in FBS football this season.Â
• Nine different players recorded a TFL against the Scarlet Knights, led by senior DL Cody Roscoe's 3.0, which ties his career high.
• The 13.0 TFLs are the most since 2019 when the Orange also had 13.0 TFLs against Liberty.
