SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange host another home match on Monday (Sept. 6) at 7 p.m. against Niagara. The Purple Eagles are 1-2 on the season. Admission to the SU Soccer Stadium is free. All fans attending games must adhere to Syracuse University's COVID-19 policy, which can be found here.

ORANGE UPDATE

Syracuse is 1-2 this season after defeating Drexel 2-0 in the regular season home opener and then losing to #17 Penn State and #2 Georgetown. The Orange have out-shot all opponents.
In the win against the Dragons, senior midfielder Colin Biros scored his first collegiate goal and junior defender Christian Curti recorded his first Syracuse goal.
The Orange held #2 Georgetown to just one goal in a back and fourth match on Friday (Sept. 3).

SCOUTING THE PURPLE EAGLES

Niagara was ranked seventh in the MAAC Preseason Poll.
Sophomore forward Asher Barnes was named the 2021 MAAC Co-Rookie of the Year and graduate student defender Jordan Acevedo was selected to the All-MAAC 2021 Team.
Head coach Bill Boyle is in his 6th season leading the program.

SERIES HISTORY
Monday's match will be the 21st meeting between the Orange and the Purple Eagles. Syracuse leads the series 16-4, including a 3-0 win for the Orange in the most recent meeting in 2014.

UP NEXT
The Orange travel to play Virginia in their first ACC match up on Friday (Sept. 10) at 7 p.m. and then return home on Tuesday (Sept. 14) to host Binghamton. Virginia is among the teams receving votes in the Top 25 poll.
