
Orange Open Spring Season Saturday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse opens the spring portion of its schedule with four consecutive home matches, beginning Saturday, Jan. 15 against Army at 11 a.m. at the Drumlins Tennis Club.

Head coach Younes Limam's squad returns five players, including All-American Viktoriya Kanapatskaya, from last year's squad that earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. Syracuse made its fourth appearance in the national tournament where it was edged by No. 26 Kentucky, 4-3.

The Orange open the 2022 spring campaign with home matches against Army, Brown (Jan. 22), Penn State (Jan. 23) and Cornell (Jan. 30). After a pair of road matches at Temple (Feb. 5) and Drexel (Feb. 6), Syracuse returns home to face Buffalo (Feb. 12) and Niagara (Feb. 13) in its final non-conference action of the season.

'Cuse opens ACC play with a home match against Boston College on Feb. 19 before going on the road to take on Virginia Tech (Feb. 25) and Virginia (Feb. 27). After home matches versus Georgia Tech (Mar. 4) and Clemson (Mar. 6), the Orange travel to North Carolina on Mar. 18 and Duke on Mar. 20.

A four-match homestand will feature contests against Wake Forest (Mar. 25), NC State (Mar. 27), Louisville (Apr. 1) and Notre Dame (Apr. 3). Syracuse concludes the regular season with a pair of road matches at Miami (Apr. 15) and Florida State (Apr. 17).

The ACC Tournament is slated for Apr. 20-24 in Rome, Georgia. Overall, nine teams from the ACC competed in last year's NCAA Championship.
