
Swart, Kent to Compete for Team USA at Fall Classic

SPARKS, Maryland -- Former Orange Sam Swart and current assistant coach Kenzie Kent will compete for the U.S. women's national team at this weekend's USA Lacrosse Fall Classic in Sparks, Maryland. The event is Oct. 14-16 at USA Lacrosse headquarters.
Team USA will take on defending national champion North Carolina on Saturday, Oct. 15 at noon. The game is part of an event that will feature the U.S. men's national team as well as the USA Select U16 and U18 teams playing competition from Ontario and the Haudenosaunee Nation.
During her five-year career, Swart helped lead the Orange to four NCAA Tournament appearances, including one trip to the national championship game. In her final season, she started all 21 games and recorded 39 points (26g, 13a), 19 ground balls and six caused turnovers. Swart is also playing for the Orange field hockey team this fall.
Kent is in her second season as a member of the Orange staff. She was a member of the gold-medal winning team at the 2022 World Championship. Kent excelled in both lacrosse and ice hockey at Boston College. She was named a first-team All-American by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) in 2019 when she led the nation in scoring with 127 points on 52 goals and 75 assists.Â
