2/27/2022 3:25:00 PM | Softball
AUBURN, AL.- Syracuse was not able to record a run against Auburn pitcher Shelby Lowe despite recording five hits. Syracuse falls to 9-4 while #21 Auburn improves to 14-1.
Senior Ariana Adams got the ball to start for the Orange for two innings. Summer Clark and Lindsey Hendrix also saw time.
Syracuse only trailed by one run for the first two innings but a nine run third inning made it difficult for the Orange difficult to come back from.
The Orange had a chance in the top of the second inning following a single up the middle off the bat of Neli Casares-Maher. Angie Ramos' single to center field advanced Casares-Maher to second but Syracuse could not build anymore momentum.Â
Ramos went 2-for-2 with two singles against the Tigers. Casares-Maher, Kelly Breen and Paris Woods each contributed at the plate, notching a hit a piece.
