BLACKSBURG, VA.- Syracuse lost the first two of a three-game series to #6 Virginia Tech in a doubleheader on Friday. The Hokies won the first game, 13-1, and the second game, 8-1.

Kelly Breen led the Orange (10-8 overall, 1-4 ACC) at the plate in the second game. going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.Â

GAME 1
In the first game, the Orange initiated the scoring with a run in the top of the first. Angel Jasso came across to score the lone run of the inning on a wild pitch. Virginia Tech (17-3, 5-0 ) tied the game in the second, 1-1, and then used a 10-run third inning to seal the 13-1 win.

GAME 2
In the top of the fourth inning, Breen's double scored Neli Casares-Maher with two outs, to bring the Orange within two, 3-1. Virginia Tech responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth and then used three runs in the sixth for the 8-1 final score.
