SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Orange lost to the No. 2-ranked North Carolina State Wolfpack at the Drumlins Tennis Club on Sunday afternoon, 6-1. Syracuse forced tiebreaker sets in three singles matches but fell short in two of them after dropping the doubles point.

Polina Kozyreva won both of her singles matches this weekend, the bright spot for SU on a tough two-match stretch against ranked ACC opponents. Her 11 spring singles victories lead the team and are a career best. Viktoriya Kanapatskaya took the ITA's No. 31 player, Abigail Rencheli, to a tiebreaker set, ultimately losing 11-9 in a thrilling competition.

Syracuse continues its two-weekend stint at home with a match against Louisville on Friday, April 1 at 3 p.m. Notre Dame visits the Drumlins Tennis Club on Sunday, April 3 for the Orange's second-to-last home match of the season.
