Former Orange standouts Colin Bennie Maegan Krifchin finished inside the top-20 overall and were both the seventh-fastest American runner for their respective gender.
An All-American at 'Cuse and key component of the team's 2015 NCAA Champion Cross Country squad, Bennie currently races professionally and was the top-American finisher at last year's race. He finished in 2:12.08, which earned him 19th overall and eighth among Americans, while Kenya's Evans Chebet won in 2:06.51.
Bennie has had a string of strong marathon performances over the past few years. He broke 2:10 at the Marathon Project in 2020 and was a top-10 finisher at the U.S. Olympic Trials as well, before turning in last year's performance in Boston.
Krifchin was another Orange alum who represented 'Cuse with a strong performance as well. She finished in 2:31.53. which was good for 17th overall among women and the seventh fastest American finisher.
Krifchin has been a strong competitor in marathons for the better part of the last decade, finishing seventh at the 2016 US Olympic Marathon Trials. She won the Philadelphia Half Marathon in 2015 as well. She took second in the 2012 U.S. Half Marathon Championships and was the top American finisher at the World Half Marathon Trials later that year.
