SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse and Temple traded goals in the final five minutes as the No. 10 Orange were beat, 2-1, Tuesday night.
Senior Gabriel Mikina scored Syracuse's goal off a corner kick in the 87th minute.
The Orange outshot the Owls, 15-5, and held a 14-0 advantage in corner kicks.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Temple's Lleyton Imparato scored at 35:49 of the first half, tipping the ball over Syracuse goalkeeper Jahiem Wickham.
The Orange leveled the game at one on the team's 13th corner of the match.
Senior Jeorgio Kocevski sent the ball into the box where graduate student Buster Sjoberg headed it to Mikina, who headed it into the back of the net.
76 seconds later, Temple grabbed its second lead of the match. Rocco Haeufglockner sent the ball from the top of the box into the top left corner of the net.

- Sjoberg has recorded a point in two straight matches.
- Kocevski recorded his ninth assist of the season, tying him with Steve Morris (1990) for the second-most assists by a senior in program history.
- Kocevski's nine helpers is tied for the fifth-most by a player in program history amongst all players.
- Mikina scored his fourth goal of the campaign marking three straight seasons he has scored at least four goals, dating back to his time at Niagara.
- The Orange had a season-high 14 corners in the loss, the most since the team had 13 corner kicks on Oct. 22, 2022, at NC State.
- Sophomore Nicholas Kaloukian tied his season-high with five shot attempts.
