Karl Winter became the eighth man in program history to break four minutes in the mile.
Winter crossed the line in 3:59.25 at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston, becoming the eighth man in program history to run a sub-four mile. He joins Justyn Knight, Joel Hubbard, Adam Palamar, Martin Hehir, Aidan Tooker, Nathan Henderson and Joe Dragon among those who have accomplished the feat in an Orange uniform.
Kevin Robertson also ran in the mile, finishing in 4:06.28, which was a new personal best.
Noah Carey also had a strong day in the 3,000-meter run. He turned in a personal-best mark of 7:54.31, which was 21st overall in an event that featured nearly 300 competitors, both collegiate and professional. Paul O'Donnell shaved eight seconds off his previous PR, finishing in 8:00.09. Alex Herbst (8:26.63), Eamon Burke (8:27.88) and Ruben Rojas Betanzos (8:48.13) also ran in the event from 'Cuse.
The meet closed with a long list of Orange in the men's 5k. Nathan Lawler was the team's top finisher in 13:51.26, followed by his brother, Sam, in 13:52.45. Alex Comerford also finished in less than 14 minutes in 13:56.76, with all-three times serving as personal bests. Assaf Harari (14:08.35), Silas Derfel (14:42.41) and Jack Whetstone (14:44.83) also raced.
James Nmah (21.99) and Carlton Landingham (22.17) finished 33rd and 53rd in the 200-meter dash, but both set new PRs in the race.
Xayvion Perkins also set a personal best in the 400 meters in 49.87.
Daijon Richards turned in a top-10 finish in the 60-meter dash, taking ninth, while Landingham raced to a mark of 7.22 seconds in the same event.
Alexander Segarra (1:55.62) and Ryder Kriley (1:58.23) raced in the 800. It was a new PR in the event for Kriley and the first time Segarra had raced at the distance collegiately.
David Peters (8.25) competed in the 60-meter hurdles.
'Cuse was also at Clemson this weekend, where a pair of Orange took on the 200-meter dash. Kaleia Arrington (24.81 seconds) and Shaleah Colaire (25.15 seconds) were the lone competitors left to compete after the bulk of the team had their events on Friday.
The Orange conclude the regular season next week at Cornell, before racing in the ACC Championships beginning February 23.
